FAQs
Welcome! Whether you’re a first-time artist or a seasoned pro, we’ve put together answers to the most common questions about recording, production, and getting your music ready for release.
General Studio Questions
Q: How much does it cost to record a song or album?
A: Rates vary depending on the size of your project and the services you need. We offer both day and package rates — contact us for a custom quote that fits your goals and budget.
Q: Do I need to book in advance?
A: Yes, sessions are by appointment only. We recommend booking at least 1-2 months in advance to secure your preferred time slot.
Q: What’s included in the studio rate?
A: Our studio rate includes use of the recording space, professional-grade equipment, and an experienced engineer. Mixing and mastering are offered separately or as part of a package.
Q: Can I bring my own producer, engineer, or musicians?
A: Absolutely. We’re happy to collaborate with your team — just let us know in advance so we can coordinate the setup.
Q: Can I visit the studio before booking?
A: Of course! We encourage new artists to schedule a short tour to get familiar with our space and sound.
Recording Process
Q: How does the recording process work?
A: Typically, we start with setup and soundcheck, then record takes until you’re happy with your performance. After that, we move into editing.
Q: How long does it take to record one song?
A: It depends on your preparation and the song’s complexity. A simple vocal track might take an hour, while a full production could take several sessions. We recommend to calculate two days for a full song production including recording instruments, arranging and getting all of the vocals recorded.
Q: Can I record vocals over a beat from YouTube or another producer?
A: Yes, just make sure you have permission or the correct license for the instrumental. Bring the highest-quality version (WAV or high-bitrate MP3) you can.
Q: What should I bring to my session?
A: Bring your lyrics, instruments, files that are needed for your songs and importantly any reference tracks that show the sound you’re going for.
Mixing & Mastering
Q: What’s the difference between mixing and mastering?
A: Mixing balances all the individual tracks (vocals, instruments, etc.) into a polished song. Mastering is the final step that optimizes your mix for all streaming platforms and playback systems.
Q: Can you mix or master songs recorded elsewhere?
A: Yes, we accept outside projects. Just send your stems in .WAV format, and we’ll take care of the rest.
Q: How long does mixing and mastering take?
A: Most songs are mixed and mastered within 3–5 business days, depending on the project’s size and revision requests.
Q: How many revisions are included?
A: We include up to three rounds of revisions with most packages. Additional revisions are available for a small fee.
Q: What file formats will I receive?
A: You’ll receive your final song as a WAV and MP3 file. Stems and instrumental versions are also available upon request.
Creative Services
Q: Do you offer songwriting assistance?
A: Yes, we can help refine lyrics, melodies, and structure to bring your ideas to life.
Q: Can you help me find session musicians or vocalists?
A: We have a network of talented musicians and singers who can collaborate on your project.
First-Time Artists
Q: I’ve never recorded before — what should I expect?
A: No worries! We’ll walk you through everything step by step. Our goal is to make your first studio experience creative, comfortable, and fun.
Q: Do you work with beginners?
A: Absolutely. We love helping new artists find their voice and develop their sound.
Q: How can I make the most of my first session?
A: Rehearse your lyrics, warm up your voice, and bring reference songs that inspire you. We’ll handle the rest.
